RegistryFix
July 22, 2009
Over 13 million people have downloaded RegistryFix, making it one of the most popular computer error programs available online. While it does mention that it targets the registry specifically (hence its name), it also handles all of the common computer ailments and offers most people a quick and easy fix.
Is RegistryFix a replacement for your local computer wizard? Maybe, maybe not, but with the option to have RegistryFix scan your computer for free to determine if it can help you or not you certainly have nothing to lose. RegistryFix will scan for and repair missing device drivers, missing .dll files, missing system fonts, invalid device drivers, missing file associations, and more.
- Clean/repair your damaged registry.
- Control your start-up programs.
- Bundled delete software completely removes software from your computer without leaving traces behind.
- Registry backup utility.
- Free system scan to determine of RegistryFix can help.
RegistryFix can be purchased for a single computer for $37, or $87 for three computers.

I’ve used RegistryFIx before on work PCs and found that it worked really well – especially on PCs which had a lot of application installations & uninstalls happen (which messes up the registry). For home use though, I switched to
Reimage which also offer a free online scan. It remedies all malfunctions in a holistic manner. That is to say that Reimage does not fix malfunctions in isolation (which is what the individual tools would). For example, a faulty application may be due to missing/faulty drivers combined with missing/faulty registry keys. With individual tools you would only fix each in isolation with no guarantee they will work in unison. Reimage takes the bigger picture, fixing malfunctions across the full Windows system.
